The Belgian Boom: Tomorrowland 2014 Sold Out

The Electronic Letter started as blog dedicated to music and events relevant to our home turf, the Pacific Northwest, but we aren’t against expanding our coverage when something really neat happens.

Let’s take a quick peak over toward Belgium, home of massive electronic music festival TomorrowLand–the very same parent event that came to Atlanta, Georgia last summer under the name TomorrowWorld. The original edition only rises in popularity, fame, and attendance, so this year they are more or less duplicating the event with back-to-back weekends. This will allow greater overall attendance with less people missing out on all the fun when tickets sell out.

The crazy thing is: even with capacity effectively doubled for Tomorrowland’s ten-year anniversary coming this July, the festival sold out within an hour of their world-wide release last Saturday.  Three-hundred-and-sixty thousand people will come together for this iconic event, and if capacity was any bigger so would that number.

Tomorrowland is a festival a lot of us dream of visiting. Watch the 2013 aftermovie and you probably will, too. The stage production is MIND-BLOWING.
